Event Description

This is the perfect event to complete the ending of our stay at home summer by joining us at the "KISS MY WHAAATTT Caddy's Breakfast” and open 5K At Caddy’s Pub On Saturday 8/22/2020 20025 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores, FL 33785. As always these events are capped at 70 participants until races safely open in the fall of 2020. Please visit our website to read each of the safety guidelines for a safe return.  Each registration includes a promotional race shirt, a kiss my what finisher's medal, a free micheclob ultra, and FREE breakfast with us at Caddy's Pub!!!

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

You and your friends and family  are invited to register here now to join us IN PERSON on Saturday, Augsut 22, 2020 for a VIP breakfast at Caddy’s Pub On Indian Shores with an open 5K walk/run on the hard packed sand of the Indian Shores Beach across the street at 9:25 a.m. These are small events so they sell out very quickly.

Each registration includes the 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. breakfast, a Tyvek run bib number with your registration on Active.com, a promotional tech style short sleeve t-shirt, and either the themed or Caddy's finisher’s medal (you pick one at Caddy's check in), with a Michelob Utlra can of beer. Tables are not just open for participants, they are open to your friends and family as well as to the public. Wear your mask into the building, lower it to your neck when you are seated with a group of 10 or less, and put it back up to your mouth when you leave or use the bathroom.

If you intend to run on the gorgeous beach at 9:25 a.m. please, follow all Pinellas County covid instructions as this will NOT be an organized or timed 5K.  Therefore, each runner should wear your own watch for time and/or distance to gauge your run/walk, and bring your own water, cooler, and necessities to safely complete the beach run the group is invited to begin at 9:25 a.m.  This is our way of beginning to bring the running community slowly out of virtual races into actual events this summer as you each maintain your own distance for safety and comfort. No bib numbers can be worn during your run, so we will manage bag check back at Caddy’s Pub for you. If you choose to run prior to checking in at Caddy's you can begin breakfast when you arrive after 9 a.m.

We will lead runners on a walk shortly down Gulf Blvd to the safe beach access crossing to where you can begin the beach run. Please use this same crossing route and stay within the pedestrian path as you head back to Caddy’s after your run/walk. Again there will be no organized start/finish, turn around team, or finish line on the beach so each person must bring their own water (easily identifiable is preferred), wear your own watch for time and/or distance, and start and finish at your own time and pace.

Caddy’s offers a full liquor bar and menu so feel free to start a tab with your server and stay for a while. By showing your server your bib number, breakfast is free and includes eggs, toast, home fries, and a soft drink. You are welcome to start a tab with your server for additional items and cocktails as Caddy’s has a full liquor bar with great prices. You'll love this waterfront dining. All friends and family are welcome to join us! Though we are limited to 50 participants in this open 5K run on the beach, Caddy’s has a legal capacity for 300 following all of Pinellas County’s covid regulations. We do ask that you arrive in masks per Pinellas County guidelines to all those arriving at the restaurant.

Come see Suzanne up until 11 a.m. on the front deck at Caddy’s to receive your finisher’s medal and feel free to share your experience and enjoy photo ops that we will share on social media to promote of community of healthy, careful, and dedicated runners! You can find this events and our past run photos on Facebook under the group: Xanadu Race Management Photos. Feel free to Friend us now!

Please check the website regularly www.727CanRace.com as we approach event day for updates as covid restrictions may lessen or tighten prior to event day and we want to have the most successful and enjoyable morning  for each of you to enjoy.

Registration will close if/when we reach 50 registrants. This is not a virtual event, nor is it an organized and timed race. Again for updates visit www.727CanRace.com
