Our heart is “We will Rise” together during this time of COVID-19. We are offering an early registration fee of only $20 which includes a shirt or a free registration option this year as we want to provide an opportunity for everyone to participate as we rise together. Our prayer is this event will bring us together from all around the world and be a support for our beneficiaries SA Heals and SAVEZONE. Although there is a free registration option, we hope you consider creating a fundraising team or a donation option. Remember, anyone can participate in this race! Please share this even with your family and friends all around the world!
WE WILL RISE - Faith Runs Global 2020 Virtual Event
Faith Runs Global is Community Bible Church’s Annual 10K/5K/1Mile Run, formerly known as Faith Runs Deep. This year we have been encouraged to rally and unite with our brothers and sisters around the world to rise up and link arms, encouraging one another as we fight the adversity and battles that we all experience. All proceeds this year will go to support SA Heals, a local non-profit organization on the eastside of San Antonio, to further the work of providing educational programs, food assistance needs, and other development projects to help the people and families in San Antonio.
WHAT IS FAITH RUNS GLOBAL?
2020 has been a life changing year for us all! Yet God remains on His throne, and continues to direct every second of our lives. This year with COVID-19 we were unsure if our 5k/1mile run/walk event would take place, but God had other plans. Miraculously, God has opened doors for people and ministry friends from all over the world to participate in their own Faith Runs Global events, just like we do on campus at Community Bible Church in San Antonio. People from Kenya to Brazil, Moldova, Costa Rica and Australia (just to name a few) will be joining us on or around September 12th of this year to participate in their own settings. We are excited to have Ainsley’s Angels be part of this event as well. Where people with special needs will be encouraged to ride race chariots in a highly protected setting set apart just for them.
In light of COVID-19 we are moving this year’s race to a Virtual Race event (so you can participate from the comfort of your own home, neighborhood, or treadmill). Most running events around the country are choosing to lead in this direction during this season. So no matter what time zone you are in around the world, or what time in the day you start, we will all run with our brothers and sisters around the globe with the hope of rising in Jesus name.
The focus of this event has always been to lift up the city and people of San Antonio. A non-profit organization is chosen each year for participants to support through their registrations, donation, or sponsorship. We are continuing to drive this concept, and we are excited to support SA Heals and SAVEZONE.
WHEN:
Our event in San Antonio and in the US will take place on Saturday September, 12th 2020. You have 24 hrs to run/walk your 10K, 5K, 1 Mile or Sleep in for the Cause in support of SA Heals. Top 3 finisher awards for male/female categories and various awards. Submit your time by 11:59pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
EVENT LOCATION:
This year’s race will take place in your own neighborhood, a park, running trail, or wherever you feel comfortable participating (even your own lazy boy). You will have a 24hr period to run, walk, jog or sleep in for the cause. Do it at your own pace. Invite your family and friends with safety first, of course.
