Pacer Physical Therapy Virtual Half Marathon is a virtual event to promote health and wellness during a time when most in-person races have been cancelled. Many runners were well into their training regimens before COVID-19 shut down all race plans, so why stop now?! If you were signed-up for a 10k, half marathon, or marathon and your training plans were thrown off course, consider running the Pacer PT Virtual Half Marathon.
This virtual race can be run from anywhere and at any time on October 24, 2020.
1) Why sign up for a Virtual Race?
Virtual races are unique since the race has never been more about YOU! You are the person holding yourself accountable for crossing the finish line. When you join our Facebook event page (@PacerPhysicalTherapy) we can give you a virtual platform to hold you accountable and keep you motivated!
Join our Facebook community today to share your running stories, post pictures of your progress and learn about strength training and mobility exercises to assist you in your virtual race. Set an attainable, yet challenging goal for yourself while having support of the PACER PT team.
2) How do I track my Virtual Race?
In a virtual race, you will not have access to a timing chip - which is normally attached to your race bib in a live event. Thanks to technology, there are a few options: Use a running GPS or Smart Watch such as Garmin, Timex, FitBit, or Apple Watch OR download a free tracking app such as Runkeeper, MapMyRun, or Strava to track your race.
3) Does this Virtual Race donate to a charity/organization?
By registering today, a portion of your proceeds will help to benefit Every Mother Counts (EMC), an organization that promotes making pregnancy and child birth safe for everyone, everywhere.
Note: ONLY THE FIRST 50 PEOPLE to sign up will receive a FREE RACE DAY T-SHIRT. Sign up now while supplies last!
