Event Description
Cover as many miles as you can or want to between 7-11pm. Male/female winners will be those who cover the most miles in the four hour time limit.
Race course is 3 miles out and back on the Savoy paved trail and the Prospect Avenue sidewalk. The start a bit north of the Savoy Recreation Center. The turn around is at Kent Ct., just south of Windsor Road. Water and various food will be provided. There is a participant cap of 30 to keep this a smaller, safer event.
Sunset on July 10 is 8:23pm. A headlamp/flashlight is recommended. The Prospect Avenue sidewalk is well lit, but Savoy paved trail is not.
Provided: LOTS of bottled water iced down and food as well (bananas, cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, boiled potatoes, etc.) If you have a favorite drink or food you are welcome to bring it. Bring a drop bag with a change of clothes, etc. to be available for yourself if you wish.
Please email mmills316@gmail.com if you have any questions. Last year this was a non-Second Wind race and it was a lot of fun. The 2021 7-11 Race is a Second Wind Running Club race.
