The 4th annual Pairing Up to Beat Lung Cancer 5K or 1 Mile Run/Walk will be held virtually from August 4 through November 1, 2020. The purpose is to raise awareness of lung cancer and the impact it has on so many lives. It's also a celebration of lung cancer survivors and a remembrance of those lost to this disease. There are two options. You can run or walk solo, or enter as part of a “twosome”, running or walking with another person at the same location. You can complete the run or walk anytime from August 4 through November 1, 2020.
100% of the profit from this event goes to Northwest Community Hospital Foundation's Lung Cancer Fund to provide assistance for people diagnosed with lung cancer and treated at Northwest Community. Recipients must demonstrate financial need brought on by their diagnosis or treatment. With the added economic impact of COVID, there are more people in our community affected financially by a diagnosis of lung cancer.
