COVID-19 has presented many challenges for educational systems around the country. Help AFCEA support local Massachusetts classrooms and teachers with the new challenges they'll be facing for the upcoming school year by making a donation and participating in our annual 5K event! All race revenue will be used to make donorschoose.org donations!
Following MA COVID-19 guidelines, race participation will be socially distanced and conducted through our virtual community
Participant's are recommended to run/walk at least 5K (3.1 miles), but any distance is acceptable! Race participation can be logged anytime between Saturday, September 26th, and Sunday, October 4th
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) is a non-profit international association that is dedicated to supporting global security by providing an ethical environment that encourages a close cooperative relationship among civil government agencies, the military and industry.
AFCEA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the surrounding communities of Hanscom Air Force Base and is comprised of small and large member firms, professionals and active duty and retired military working together to enhance community service. A key facet of the AFCEA mission is to The AFCEA Educational Foundation which serves to support excellence in education, provide educational incentives, and assist people pursuing education and careers in STEM-related disciplines. Since its inception, the Lexington-Concord Chapter of AFCEA has continuously supported numerous STEM-related activities and initiatives from generous donations, sponsorship and event-based income. Over $72,000 in scholarships and grants were awarded this year!
