Event Description
Join us this year, as we have ADDED a 5K to the 10K!! (You're welcome.) Both start at 8:00am.
This historic 10K, is a classic in the true sense of the word! Dating back to 1977 when the race was founded, it is one of the oldest road races in Georgia. It began as the 'Etowah Indian Mounds 10K' before becoming the 'Cartersville 10K.' All proceeds benefit the local charity, "Shoes4Kids." The Brand-NEW 5K starts at Dellinger Park, goes once around the Etowah Indian Mounds loop, and back in Dellinger, finishing on the track. It's an exciting course that is as beautiful as it is fast.
Remember: PRE-REGISTRATION closes on Sunday, Oct. 18 at midnight. Day-of-Registration begins at 6:45am Saturday, Oct. 24th at Dellinger Park.
PACKET PICK-UP: Pick up your packet at Athlete's Locker in West End Commons from 11:00am-6:00pm on Friday, October 23, 2019. (650 Henderson Dr. #201, Cartersville, GA 30120)

Want to know why we're doing this race?!
In 2017, Matt Terry & David Matherne co-founded the company,Wire2Wire Running to help promote running and racing in Northwest Ga.
But part of our company’s mission has always been to serve the running community in charitable ways. Thanks to some grassroots races in Bartow Co., W2W has gone from 7 races (2017), to currently up to 25 races per year. From the start, we began putting at least 5% of any profits we made at an event (Road Race, XC race, Summer Camp, etc.) into this Charity, BUT FOR THIS RACE WE DONATE ALL PROCEEDS.
So when folks like you run in a Wire2Wire event, they are directly helping talented kids in both the local and regional area who are not able to buy quality running shoes.
And that’s what Matt & David are doing something about!
