Event Description

The COVID CHALLENGE is a virtual exercise event during the month of September 2020.  It's designed to encourage people to exercise and, at the same time, help raise funds for several outstanding charities working in our community.  You're invited to register online, set your goals, and record your progress along with friends and families without participating in a large gathering.  You can record your steps, share your bike tours, and record your runs as part of the challenge.  We'll be supporting you all the way with updates, stories, and friendly competition.

Sign up for the COVID CHALLENGE and you'll receive our special face mask (shown at left). Proceeds from the COVID CHALLENGE will benefit two medical clinics in Montgomery County, Maryland,  that offer outstanding services to the community. Mercy Health Clinic (MHC) serves uninsured, low-income adult residents of Montgomery County and is committed to providing high quality medical care, health education and pharmaceuticals to eligible patients free of charge. We are a non-sectarian, non-profit, community health clinic. The mission of Mobile Medical Care (MobileMed) is to improve the health of low-income people who face the greatest barriers to care access. Both charities have been heavily involved in the Covid-19 pandemic and are in need of our support. 

In addition to the two great medical clinics, our event will support the Rotary Charitable Foundation of North Bethesda, which has provided educational opportunities and other funds for more than 30 years for needy students attending Montgomery College.
