Event Description
The Hubbard Cross Country Boosters are excited to host our 2nd Virtual Run to support the Hubbard HS and MS Cross Country teams. "Strut your Stuffin' 2020", whether you trot like a turkey or run, we will have FUN! It will run November 24th thru the 29th. Participants can run their virtual race anywhere and submit the results to hubbardxcboosters@gmail.com. Anytime you run that distance at a better time, submit the new time. In theory, you can run each event you choose up to 5 times and submit 5 results if you improve each time.
Times will be accepted on the honor system, apps, GPS watches, etc. up to 11:59 pm on 11/29/20. Final results will be posted by 12/04/20.
We are inviting participants of all ages and skill levels to walk, jog or run to the finish line. Share your passion and a bit of healthy competition with each other and our runners. Our hope is that this will encourage our Cross Country athletes to build a love for running year round. With that in mind, this virtual race will feature:
1 mile fun run for Elementary Ages
2 mile Run/Walk (to compete with the Middle School)
5K Run/Walk (to compete with the High School)
10K Run/Walk if you are extra adventurous
All who register for the virtual race prior to November 1, 2020 will receive complimentary Race SWAG ("Strut your Stuffin' Winter Hat and Finisher Medal). (One set per participant, additional items may be purchased for a fee.) The "SWAG" item(s) may be picked up in advance: Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 9am-11:00am @ St. Patrick's Food Pantry, St. Patricks Church - 357 N. Main St., Hubbard, OH 44425. If you are from outside the tri-county area and require your items to be mailed, please notify race director at registration: hubbardxcboosters@gmail.com.
Our student athletes also know how important it is to serve and connect with our community. We strive to continue to help guide this by partnering with our community food pantries. This 'Turkey Trot' a.k.a "Strut your Stuffin' 2020" is in partnership with the St. Patrick Food Pantry of Hubbard, Ohio. Through your support and partnership the St. Patrick Food Pantry will be able to Turkey Dinners to area residents in addition to supporting the Hubbard Cross Country Team.
