Event Description

Rocky Mountain Road Runners holds a monthly series of timed races in the Denver area.  We provide a low-key and COVID-safe running environment, and everyone is welcome to run with us!

Our September  race will run in Thornton from Platte River Trailhead Park, and we will have both 10 Mile and 5k courses.  We've developed a registration and racing approach to manage COVID-related risks, so you can expect to run in a safe and distanced way.  Do plan to arrive at least 1 hour before race start to get your bib and complete registration.

Race Day Details

Date:   Sunday September 12
Time:   8am start.  Show up at least 1 hour early to get your tag and warm up.
Location:  Platte River Trailhead Park in Denver near 88th and Colorado.
Course:  race runs on the Clear Creek and South Platte concrete bike paths.
The 10 Mile will go 2.5 miles north on the South Platte bike path, turn around and run south, continuing past the start.  It then continues south and then west on the Clear Creek bike path, turning 2.5 miles from the start and heading back to the finish for a total of 10 miles.  The 5k will be run as an out and back starting to the south with a turnaround at 1.6 miles.
Parking:  Plenty of parking at Trailhead Park.
