Ride in the Rocks is a GO! November 14th, 9:00am start!
It’s obviously been a rollercoaster of a year so far, but we feel that we can successfully and safely move forward with our event, with some modifications, of course.
In order to better serve our participants, we have decided to downsize for this year. We have put the running/walking courses on hiatus for this year and will focus only on our main event: the mountain bike courses.
The mountain biking courses will be the same as last year and will cater to beginner, intermediate, and expert riders. Mileage will be approximate. We have hired OmniGo! to take care of timing and organize the ‘time trial’ style start. This will help space riders out so they’re not all huddled together for a mass start. Aid stations will be minimal, so be sure to carry your own fuel if you need it. Water will be available on-course and riders will get nutrition in their goodie bags that they can use during their ride if they choose to do so. We are trying to keep face-to-face contact to a minimum in order to protect our participants and volunteers. Hand sanitizer will available at all aid stations and at the packet pick up booth. Unfortunately, spectators will not be allowed this year.
Registration will be ONLINE ONLY! There will be no day-of registration, only packet pickup the morning of the event! When entering the event venue, please wear a mask at all times. We know there are mixed views on the mask issue, but we want to provide a fun and safe environment for everyone and in order to do that, masks will be required while in the venue.
Participants will still receive a t-shirt on a first come, first served basis. Lunch will also still be provided in a to-go container, just like in the past. Seating will still be available so you can still sit and enjoy your lunch. Please practice social distancing while in the venue area.
We understand that 2020 has been a taxing and unpredictable year for everyone, what better way to let off some steam than a fun, hard pedal!

Event details and schedule
WE ARE AT A NEW VENUE THIS YEAR!! LUCERNE VALLEY MARKET & HARDWARE!! Event check in is 7:00-8:30 am, start time 9:00 am sharp! Dress for a cool morning, but be ready to strip down soon after the start. Arrive early enough to fill out and sign waivers. The course closes at 3:00 pm, if you are on the 25-mile Challenge Course and want to cross the finish line on your bike, don't dawdle. There is plenty of parking near the Start/Finish line as well as parking lot spaces for trailer camping the night before. We also include a free t-shirt so please include your size. Lunch provided by Out of This World BBQ also included. Come join us for a spectacular day in the desert!
