Event Description

Enjoy beautiful outdoor setting at our event.  All courses will be run on a looped course at the Scenic White Tail Preserve.  The course is on a partially shaded, non-technical 10ft+ wide trail that encircles the preserve, shooting ranges, and nearby field.

Race Format: To comply with CDC guidelines, the event will be moving to a staggered start, time trial format.   Prior to the start, racers will voluntarily group based on anticipated average race pace (per mile).  At 9:00am, one "gun" start will release the first two racers from the start line.  The remaining pairs of racers will be spaced 10' feet apart.  The second (and remaining) pair(s) of racers will approach the start line (walking) and will start once the first two racers pass a designated point approximately 50-100 yards from the start line.  This process will continue until all racers have left the start line.  The race will be scored utilizing actual chip time, as measured from your individual race bib as it crosses the timing start threshold through the finish line. 

Packet Pickup: Will be available SATURDAY prior to the event, and on race day starting at 8:00 a.m..  

Award Ceremony: There will not be a physical award ceremony after the race.  Over all awards will still be be made available for pickup after the conclusion of the event.  Age Group Award certificates will be emailed out after the last runners have finished.

Overall male and female awards for first place finishers will be awarded for the 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Dog Jog, and 1.5 Mile Youth Race

Dog-Jog

Runners and their dogs will set out onto the 5K course.  Over-all awards for top 3 finishers.  And all dogs will receive a special treat :-)

Virtual Race Option

Want to support our cause, but not able to show up on race day??  We have a virtual option for all distances.  Race on your own course, on your own time between Saturday October 3rd, and Sunday October 4th, Submit your time electronically and you will be scored in a special division of any of these 4 events:  10K, 5K, 5KDog Jog,, or Youth 1.5 Mile.

All proceeds benefit  S.A.F.E. Inc. a 501c3 not for profit organization supporting families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Hazleton - Wilkes-Barre Areas.
