Event Description

The 2020 Virtual Road Run Challenge, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, will include a virtual race option of our standard event distances - 1 mile, 5K, and Half Marathon, each to be completed between October 17-31, 2020. In honor of the 130th Anniversary of The Friends of Reading Hospital, we are also introducing the 130-Mile Challenge, where participants are challenged to complete a total of 130 miles throughout the entire month of October.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the Friends are excited to announce that proceeds from registrations for this year’s event will be directed toward a targeted fundraising project in cooperation with the Reading Hospital Foundation to purchase a Reading Hospital Mobile Mammography Coach, increasing access to important preventive health services for women. The Mobile Mammography Coach bus will travel to various locations throughout the community, offering more women a convenient way to receive a 3D mammogram.
