Event Description

The 6th Annual Catamount 5k is virtual for 2020 to keep everyone safe. With the virtual option, you can run your race any time between Saturday, October 24th and Sunday, November 1, 2020. You choose! We have a reputation for having the best swag bag and this year won’t be any different. We’ll have a drive-up pick-up for swag bags (Sunday, November 1st From 10am-noon at the Deerfield Fairgrounds, Main Gate 34 Stage Rd, Deerfield) and also an option for mailing it directly to you. Swag bags and the fleece hats are available to the first 100 to register. For both options, you’ll get to pick the color of the fleece hat.

All proceeds go to help men, women and children who need emergency financial assistance. Neighbors helping neighbors!

HOW DOES A VIRTUAL RUN WORK?

A virtual race is a race that can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on a road, on a trail, on the treadmill or on a track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running or walking the virtual race is on your own, or with friends, physical distancing of course! The only rule is that the race must be completed in a single run or walk (just like an in-person race). Exercise can help boost your mental state as well as our physical health, so we hope this virtual event will get you moving without the crowds.

-Track your run with a virtual fitness tracker (Fitbit, Strava, Runkeeper, etc.) Or just using your watch or phone.

-Complete the virtual 5k (3.11 miles)  and submit proof (such as a screen shot) through the Virtual Run Submission Link between October 24, 2020, and November 1, 2020.
