Event Description

Each year, the CEA/JFI Turkey Trot brings together people of all ages and abilities to raise vital funds to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

The Flock to Flemington challenges are intended to help raise funds for our programs while keeping our CEA/JFI Turkey Trot community connected and fit. This year we invite you to continue this holiday tradition, with friends and family members, and join the Flock to Flemington Challenge.

Flight One will depart from your choice of eight different locations on October 12, 2020 and will give participants 45 days to record their times and distances as they run or walk (the distance) from as far away as Plymouth, MA or Williamsburg, VA or as close as Morristown, NJ or Philadelphia, PA or one of several other points along the way to Flemington, all associated with our Colonial and Revolutionary past.

Flight Two, for the faster “fliers” will depart all starting towns on November 1, 2020, giving participants 26 Days to complete the challenge. The object is for everyone to Flock to Flemington and enjoy Thanksgiving together (virtually) this year in anticipation of returning to the streets and running or walking as a group once again very soon.

Each time you complete a distance based exercise activity such as running or walking, you advance along the map to Flemington, NJ.  This is the perfect tool for maintaining focus and motivation whether you are training for the CEA/JFI Turkey Trot or just wanting to have fun while keeping fit!  Go solo or start a group and invite others to join you in support of CEA and our mission to facilitate career pathways and community employment for students and adults with disabilities.
