Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation and Black Paw Canine are proud to present the Salute to Canines 5k, a virtual 5k race for all ages! Run, walk, bike, hike, whatever you’d like, just don’t forget to bring your dog along (if you have one)! Your participation will benefit the Checkered Flag Foundation and their initiative to provide service dogs to veterans in need through Black Paw Canine Consulting.
Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation is celebrating their 10th Anniversary. In honor of this milestone, each participant will have 10 days to complete their individual race between October 22nd and October 31st. The REGISTRATION deadline will be OCT 16th. That means YOU MUST register by that date to make sure we can get you your swag bag before the race window starts.
This race is a VIRTUAL race which means you can run with your dog, outdoors, on a treadmill, or even in your own home. With your $38 registration fee, you will receive a super soft race t-shirt and a race medal designed in inspiration of Remi, the working dog that inspired Black Paw Canine to support veterans and law enforcement. You will also receive a specially designed dog bandanna for your pup, if you have one, or to just use as you sweat when completing your 5k!

Started in 2010 by NASCAR Cup Series Driver Brad Keselowski, the mission of the Checkered Flag Foundation is to honor and assist those who sacrifice greatly for our country, with emphasis on veterans, active military, and first responders.
The Checkered Flag Foundation recognizes the importance of supporting veterans suffering from PTSD. As a part of their overall mission to aid our nation’s heroes, they have worked to implement programs and fundraising efforts that assist military members who are affected by this mental health condition. Since 2017, The Checkered Flag Foundation has partnered with Black Paw Canine; a veteran owned and operated company that trains canines to become both service and law enforcement canines. Since their partnership began in 2017, the Checkered Flag Foundation has been able to provide service canines free of cost to select veterans who have selflessly served our country on the frontlines.
