Event Description

Walk, Run, Bike, Stroll, or Roll indoors or outdoors during the month of October. Walk with your dog, or in memory of a beloved pet.  If you don't have a dog, dogs at your local shelter would love to take a walk with you!  Take pictures and share them with the group:  www.facebook.com/groups/walkyourpawsfunwalk/

Paws In Service is a grass roots project of Abbi’s Barkery, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization in Franklin (Simpson County), KY. Our mission is to save the lives of shelter dogs through adoption, pair them with disabled Veterans or children suffering from seizure disorders and train them to be service dogs for their owners at no cost to the individuals.  We have paired up our first veteran (Don Hicks) with a shelter dog (Luna).  Luna was adopted from the Warren County (Bowling Green), KY shelter.  She and Don and have been bonding together and doing well!  You can read Don & Luna's story at:  www.PawsInService.Org.

This event is a fundraiser to raise the funds to pay for shelter and/or rescue adoption fees, service vests and other expenses of our shelter dog/service dog projects.  We will start taking applications for our 2021 projects SOON!
