Event Description

The Run for IVU is a virtual 25 mile run/walk challenge held in celebration of the 25th anniversary of International Volunteers in Urology (IVU).  The challenge will take place from October 24-31. Participants can run or walk as individuals or participate as a team to complete the 25 miles in a week. Participants also compete in a fundraising challenge to support IVU.

The registration fee is $25 per participant.  As part of this challenge, participants commit to give or solicit donations for the 25 miles they will run or walk during the challenge week.  Participants can complete the 25 mile challenge as an individual or split up the distance among a team which can include up to 5 people.  Because this is a virtual challenge, teams do not need to be geographically located in the same location!

The minimum fundraising goal is $500 for an individual participant and $2500 for a team.   Each participant will get their own online fundraising page to share with family and friends to help solicit donations.  Included in the registration fee is some pretty cool IVU race swag, including a race T-shirt* and IVU vinyl stickers!  Race swag will be sent out prior to the start of the challenge week.  All participants successfully completing the fundraising challenge will receive a completion prize.  There will also be prizes for top fundraisers, distance / speed / elevation leaders, and a raffle prize that all participants are eligible for. We will also have a special resident / fellow prize category for our medical trainees.
