Event Description

Register and compete in three Thanksgiving weekend races to obtain a special 15K medal and neck gaiter.  Registering here gets you entry into all three race.

The Thornton Turkey Trot enters its 52nd year, the Thornton Turkey trot in Glenwood, Illinois brought in over 100 participants last year and looks to do the same in 2020. Covid restrictions will be in place, so there will be separate starting times to insure that contact is limited. Finishers medals will be issued and age group awards will be mailed after the event. Proceeds benefit the Winged Foot Foundation, which provides low income students will running shoes and apparel. The race starts in Glenwood at 18300 S. Cottage Grove and runs over 5 kilometers on Thanksgiving morning. The race kicks off at 9AM.

Ready to burn off the post Thanksgiving calories? Put down those leftovers, grab your running shoes and head over to the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club for the 17th Annual Butterball Burner 5K. Join us as we celebrate 17 years of burning the post Thanksgiving Day bloat with this fun run. All ages and abilities welcome. 8 am race day check-in. Free long sleeve shirt to all entrants. Covid safety measures will be in place. The HF Fitness and Racquetball Club are located at 2920 183rd St in Homewood, IL

Head down to the Fox River for the final Thanksgiving weekend challenge, Rowdy's Giving Hands 5k. Come join Our inaugural 3:11 Project Run! Sign up alone, as a family or with your four legged friends. This 5K is an event5k for all ages. All proceeds will be donated to the 3:11 Project. This 5k starts along the banks of the Fox River in downtown Yorkville. Stick around after the race and enjoy Rowdy's famous burgers and unique toppings while partaking in the free beer (1 per entry), live music, & giveaways that all registrants receive. Free T-Shirt tp the first 100 entries. Covid Safety measures will be in place. The race kicks off at 9AM at 210 S Bridge St in Yorkville, IL
