It’s 2020 and we had a hard time getting the Zombie's to come out this year. Do you blame them, LOL! But the Zombie's will be back for the 2020 Georgia Zombie Fest 5k Walk, Run, Creep and Crawl and one mile Fun Run/Walk. So come out LIVE and in person or you can participate as your awesome Virtual Self, either one works for us.
Georgia Zombie Fest 5K: THE END (OF 2020) IS NEAR!!!!!
Join us on Friday Evening October 30th at Etowah River Park in Canton, GA and begin your journey. From Etowah River Park you will follow the paved path to the bridge and on through the zombie infested woods (you will literally be going over the river and through the woods.) Coming out of the woods (if you make it) you will round Hertiage Park and then it’s back through the woods, at dusk, while it’s getting dark, and there are zombies, are you getting the picture now?
We really do have nice zombies, they won’t touch or hurt you, they are just fun. This is a run that is just Scary Fun – but it is also for a serious cause. Just like Zombies, we are also fighting the battle and losing too many of our friends and family to drug overdose. Join Cherokee FOCUS cause we are RAISING AWARENESS, BY RAISING THE DEAD. Post the run on your social media and help us get the word out.

Event details and schedule
1 Mile Walk, Run, Creep or Crawl: Starts at 6:30PM
5K: Starts at 7PM (It will get dark while you are on the course so you may want to have a light with you)
Virtual 5K: No awards and no results will be posted for the Virtual runners but you will receive Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove Series points. You will be placed at the back of your respective age groups. You must submit a finish time to http://tiny.cc/ZombieFest5KTimes before noon on 10/31/20. You can run a 3.1 Mile course anywhere you feel comfortable. On a treadmill, around the house or in the park, just submit your time before the deadline.
Awards for the 5K: Top 3 Male and Female awards will be given at the finish line. Top 3 in age group beginning 10 and under up to 70 will be held for pick-up at the Cherokee FOCUS office or mailed to recipients.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2020 Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove Series.
Timing and Results: Finish line management provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, and www.athlinks.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 10/20/20. Those registering after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments, the zombies get thirsty.
What will I wear?: Come dressed in your favorite Zombie/Walker makeup. Safety first, make sure you are safe to participate and are not a hazard to those around you. Or come disguised as a human being and wear your regular walking/running stuff.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
