Event Description
Calling all Trotters! It is time for the Annual Central Counties Health Centers Turkey Trot: Virtual Edition! Run or walk 3.1 miles anytime, anywhere from Saturday, November 14 through Monday, November 30 for this convenient virtual race. Once we receive your registration, an event t-shirt, race bib, certificate of completion, and a rockin' finisher's medal will be shipped right to your door! Post a race day picture (bonus points for dressing up) using #CCHCTurkeyTrot2020 for a chance to win a Turkey Trot MVP trophy - you know you want it!
Who are we and what are we running for?
We are a non-profit health center driven to provide quality, affordable, non-discriminatory, and accessible primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to the under-served people of central Illinois. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care to anyone who walks through our doors, regardless of ability to pay. Proceeds from the 2020 Turkey Trot will directly impact the health and well-being of the diabetic community in central Illinois. Our free (and now virtual) diabetic classes provide individuals with new and existing diagnosis with the proper tools necessary to help take back their lives and live a healthy well-balanced lifestyle.
