JOIN US FOR A VIRTUAL FUN/WALK EVENT!!!!
The Elizabeth Seton High School (ESHS) music department invites you to join us in our first virtual run and walk-a-thon around the Elizabeth Seton HS school grounds. Sign-up to join a team, led by your favorite music department student! Take to the streets, a treadmill, your favorite trail, ANYTIME between October 30 - November 1 to support the ESHS Music community.
The cost of registration is $10 - but donations of larger amounts are always appreciated.
PRIZES: Team captains have a chance to win prizes for the following categories: 1) the team that cumulatively runs or walks the most times around the virtual 4-mile loop around the school; 2) the team that collectively raises the most funds through donations and 3) the team with the best Halloween costumes.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
HOW IT WORKS: Each race/walker will have 3 days to run/walk and accumulate miles toward your team. The virtual race will start at 7 AM on Friday, October 30, 2020, and ends on Sunday, November 1 at 7 PM.
Each team member records their mileage on the team site to track the total miles walked/ran.
Each music department student is a virtual team. You can find their team in the "join a team section" under the student's name.
The cost of individual registrations is $10.00. You can also support more than one participant.
SUPPORT AN AWARD WINNING PROGRAM: Music education is a critically important part of a well-rounded education. Our virtual race will help ensure the students of Elizabeth Seton High School can continue to benefit from this award-winning program. The proceeds will help pay for music lesson reimbursements, competition entrance fees, music, instrument repairs, concert programming, and more.
What's a Virtual Run/Walk?
It's just like a normal walk/run race, but you get to do it on YOUR terms, when you want, where you want and at your own pace. You can even do it on a treadmill while you watch your favorite show! Typically our race would be held outdoor, but we're using this race style to encourage everyone to keep exercising and being part of the community from their own homes.
What If I Don't Want to Walk/Run? We understand that not everyone will or can participate but would appreciate any donation to help support the music program. We are raising funds to support music lessons, music equipment, and other needs of the program.
LOGGING YOUR TIME: To log through your profile: Navigate to your RunSignup profile by selecting the Profile Icon at the top right-hand corner Under your Upcoming Events > Select Submit Virtual Results
Enter in your distance, and time Select Submit Time
Log through the website: Log into RunSignUP first. If you are not logged in, you will not be able to post results. If you were already logged in and having trouble, try logging out of RunSignUP and then logging back in again. If you forgot your password, you can have it reset: https://runsignup.com/Login.
Go to "Participant Tracking" on the main page, search for your name and click "More Details."
This will bring you to your information. You can then click on "Submit Virtual Results."
You MUST enter the Date and Distance and Time for your run.
