Event Description
Run for the Son, now with electronic timing, is an amazing run for the whole family!
The Run for the Son 5k/10k will be held as a hybrid event offering both virtual and onsite race day options. We will follow community safety guidelines by health experts regarding the feasibility of hosting a large outdoor sporting event. In early 2021 we will assess the feasibility of safely hosting a large in-person event. If we are only able to proceed virtually, all those registered for in-person will be moved to virtual.
All proceeds of the event support the Radiate Student Ministry's international mission trip and Eric Petty Scholarship fund. Whether you're an avid runner seeking a qualifier for the AJC Peachtree Road Race, or just a walker looking for a good cause to support while you get in a few thousand steps, you're sure to find that here.

6:15 am: Check-In, T-Shirt Pickup & Walk Up Registration (Subject to change)
7:45 am: 1 Mile Run
8:00 am: 5K & 10K

This race is a Peachtree Qualifier for the 5K AND 10K for all in-person runners! Now with Electronic Timing using RFID race bibs. Virtual Runner times are not considered qualifiers.

Race Number Pickup: Race pack & t-shirt pickup will be announced closer to the event so be sure to check for email updates.
The Course: Begin and end in the parking lot of BHBC while making a scenic rolling loop on Due West & Burnt Hickory Roads.

- All registered 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run participants will receive a colorful long sleeve T-shirt, Run for the Son Medal race packet, and plenty to eat and drink.
- 10K & 5K Awards – Overall male & female, Masters male & female and Top three male & female in each age category
- 1 Mile Fun Run Awards – Top three overall
