This year hasn’t been what any of us expected and we can’t think of a better way to process our emotions than running 15 loops of our favorite park. That’s right, folks, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of our club, and the end of one hell of a year, we are hosting a 50-mile race within beautiful Prospect Park, Brooklyn. We can’t think of a better way to spend a winter’s day, can you?
Date: Sunday, December 6, 2020
Start Time: 6:00 am
End Time: 9:00 pm
This is an in-person event pending any unforeseen city closures due to COVID-19. In true ultramarathon fashion, all finishers will receive a sweet belt buckle, designed by our very own Will Ngo. The only other awards for this race are bragging rights and an epic social media post.
Packets will be available on race day only; we will not be mailing packets ahead of time. We will notify you of your bib number and assigned start time in advance.
The course consists of the full loop of Prospect Park (3.3341 miles), 15 times in a row. That’s it, nothing fancy! The start/finish will be just north of the Lincoln Road park entrance. Race central will also be located at the start/finish area. ONLY registered runners and PPTC race crew/volunteers will be allowed in the race area.
