Event Description

The New Year Run Challenge is an annual event held at Fleet Feet Mechanicsburg on New Year's day. The challenge is held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. We challenge you to run as many 2.2 mile laps as you can! You can run or walk any distance! Proceeds from our challenge are given to Communities Rising.

Through this event and our generous community we have been able to provide more than 800 pairs of shoes and socks to children in Southern India that Communities Rising supports. These children are also given the opportunity to participate in a running program to train for a 5k race that we administer to them. 

If we are not able to travel to India for the run project this year, we will donate the proceeds of this event to the families supported by Communities Rising for food. 

This year's challenge will look a little different. To help spread participants out, we will not have a traditional "start" rather you can begin running at any time that you arrive! You can start at 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. or 1 p.m.! Anytime you like! 

We will have packet pick up on:
December 27 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
December 28 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
December 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
December 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

We highly encourage you to pick up packet before January 1 to help us spread out as much as possible.
