It's that time of year!
Who's ready to get out there and RUN!
Dahlonega UMC MMO (Mothers Morning Out) & Preschool are doing their annual 5K to chase away that pesky winter chill!
We start and finish at Lumpkin County High School. The 5K course is super scenic, running through Camp Glisson. Construction is over so no more running up the steep hill!
Age group awards & awesome shirts. Proceeds from this event go to the Preschool scholarship fund.

Proceeds from the event go the the Dahlonega UMC Mothers Morning Out & Pre-School.
In addition to running you can help out with an additional donation, or becoming a Fundraiser for the event.
All participants who participate in the fundraising portion will have their entry fee refunded when after the raise $200.

Step 1
Get excited, grab some friends and buddies to join you! Sign up and register for the Chasing Away Winter Virtual 5K!
Step 2
Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not) and get ready to get moving!
Step 3
Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to social distance & be safe!
Step 4
HAVE FUN!~
Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the hashtag #ChasingAwayWinter5K
Step 5
Submit your results online at: Chasing Away Winter Virtual 5K
You can submit your race time anytime anytime until 2/27/2021 11:59 PM..
Step 6
View your Results Monday after the Event Date.
The course starts & finishes at Lumpkin County High School, then follows a back road to Clamp Glissen. Once in the camp you'll follow the camp road through the grounds and past beautiful Cane Creek Falls.

- Top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups 10 & Under through 75+

Lumpkin County High School is located at 2001 Indian Dr. Dahlonega, GA 30533
Follow GA-400 North until you reach US-19/GA-60. Take a left onto US-19/GA-60 and follow it for approximately 6 miles. Continue to follow US-19 N/S Chestatee St. Turn right onto Martin St. Take 3rd Left onto S. Grove St/GA 60 for approx. 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Indian Drive @ Lumpkin County High School. There will be signs directing traffic and parking.
All participants will receive a Free entry into (1) of the Five Star Turkey Trots. See our Turkey Trot Website for more info. Top finishers will also earn a qualifying spot in the Five Star 5K Championships for 2022. See www.fivestarntp.com for full details.

Event Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
