REGISTRATION OPENS 11-22-2020!
Registration is open for the second annual Barnett Searing National Cancer Foundation Virtual Run-Walk.
The year 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of BSNCF! If you've been touched by our outreach, we invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone by registering for this family friendly event! We hope this virtual challenge event will inspire and energize you while we raise awareness and funds for the Barnett-Searing National Cancer Foundation.
By participating, you will be uniting by walking or running with cancer thrivers, friends, and their families throughout the United States at the pace and distance of your choice while helping us raise funds to send "Smile Kits" to female cancer patients. What's important is your "why" and the special people for which you are walking or running for. We appreciate your support during this time of COVID-19 more than ever.
What is a Virtual Challenge? A Virtual Challenge is a family and COVID-19 friendly run or walk completed on your own time in your own way. Choose a distance that works for you - maybe it's a 5k your way or even a full marathon. Bring along your COVID-19 to add to the fun and make your miles more enjoyable. Walkers and runners of all fitness levels are welcome!
Pricing Tiers:
11/22/2020 - 11/30/2020 - THANKSGIVING WEEK SPECIAL - Our gift to you is a $30 entry for registrations from November 22-30.
12/1/2020 - 3/16/2021 $35 includes neck gaiter, medal, and printable race bib
3/17/2021 - 5/15/2021 $40 includes neck gaiter, medal and printable race bib. Neck/gaiter is not guaranteed after April 19th.
5/16/2021 - $45 includes medal and printable race bib. Neck gaiter will be included if supplies allow.
* A neck gaiter/mask is not guaranteed is registered after April 19th. A portion of your event registration is tax deductible and proceeds go toward the BSNCF's "Smile Kit" project.
The BSNCF Virtual Run/Walk guidelines are simple:
- Choose your walk or run distance - 1 mile, 5k, 10k, 13.1 miles or 26.2 miles
- Complete your distance between May 27, 2021 and May 31 2021
- Set up a personal fundraiser (optionally) if that speaks to you and earn additional BSNCF gear
- Invite a friend to join you
- Pose with your limited edition 20th year anniversary swag available for purchase in the store section of the registration link
- Post photos on social media of your experience with the awesome custom pottery medal
- Have fun and celebrate your accomplishment!
OPTIONAL FUNDRAISING: While fundraising isn't mandatory for participation, we love our fundraisers! Once you hit the $250 mark, you will earn a BSNCF visor and shirt. We will also offer a $30 credit back on your registration. Help us fund our mission by starting your optional fundraiser when you register for the event. You will be invited you to a "how-to" zoom call for our fundraisers once you create a page to ensure your success. Make your miles count!
AWARDS: Awards go to the participants with the most spirit! More specifics to come!
INVITE FRIENDS: Recruit your friends and family and create your own "team!" If 3 friends/family members join in the fun and use your unique referral code, you will race for free! Help us spread the word and have some fun!
The Barnett-Searing National Cancer Foundation supports women with cancer throughout the United States. We send "Smile Kits," care packages to bring joy and comfort to female cancer patients. We are currently distributing handmade masks in our Smile Kits in response to Covid-19. To learn more about the Foundation visit www.bsncf.org.
