Join us as we take a positive step forward to begin the year 2021. This 5k on New Year's Day is a fun run (or walk) hosted at Joseph Decuis Farm benefiting The Growing Lives Foundation in order to bring more opportunities and programs to the non profit. This 5k is the first of a seasonal race series hosted by Daily Run With Za.
In order to comply with social distancing guidelines, we have created four different options to get in your run. We have three start times - 9:00am, 9:30am or 10:00am and a virtual option. See about the virtual option below!
If you choose to run on location, we will have social distancing guidelines in place on the start line (limiting each start time to 25 people). After the race, we will have grab and go bags featuring Joseph Decuis breakfast goodies as well as some more information on Growing Lives Foundational and other ways that you can volunteer or support the non profit.
The vision of Growing Lives Foundation is to create space for persons of any ability, socioeconomic background, race or gender to be comfortable, improve educational skills, create a path for the future, establish a support system, and thrive throughout life. With a focus on developing skills for independence and success, Growing Lives involves walking through trauma or individual's past and stepping into the brightness of what is to come.
***VIRTUAL OPTION*** You have all day at anytime on Friday, January 1, Saturday January 2, and Sunday January 3 to run/walk/crawl a 5k and you can optionally submit your results by taking a screenshot of your distance on your phone or watch emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can always switch from in-person race to virtual, but no refund will be given.
Reminder, this is a fun run. There will be no chip timing or results posted. Simply come out, have a good time and start the year 2021 on a positive experience.
