Event Description

Welcome to our Life Time Gaithersburg 2021 Run/Walk event! This year-long event is to run, walk or run/walk as many miles as possible during our scheduled Social Runs. This is a free event for members of Life Time Gaithersburg (and other Life Time clubs as well). Our goal is to help you find a love for outdoor running, which remains a relatively safe form of exercise (we follow and comply with CDC and Life Time health guidelines). Group runs help motivate and encourage participants, and our Run Leads will help and guide every participant during the Social Run, and perhaps some of you will eventually run your first race. This is about having FUN and enjoying this journey together!

Log your miles and track your progress with the Leaderboard. Follow along with your friends as they motivate and push you. Participants are responsible for self-logging their mileage after every run. Only miles ran during a Social Run will count (either in-person or virtually). Logging of miles is based on honor system, and must be done no later than 2~3 days after the Social Run, and will risk getting no credit if logged afterwards.

There is no swag and no medals, though there could be small giveaways along the way (up to management's discretion). This is purely for motivation and to develop camaraderie with like-minded participants in the pursuit of a common goal. Occasional shout outs and hoorays will be shared to recognize your dedication and hard work.
