Event Description

Half Marathon:

This course fast. The first 1/2 of the marathon is very fast and levels out when you arrive into Draper City.  

The Start of Porters Half is a new location at the top of Dimple Dell Road in Sandy. 

From there, runners will run downhill winding through

neighborhoods onto a steep descent on beautiful Dimple Dell Road, finding their

way down to the city of Draper. In Draper, runners will run on beautiful Porter

Rockwell Trail, while looping portions of the city. Runners will then run north along

historic Fort Street finishing at Draper Park at 4,528 feet. A total decrease of 866 ft.

There are a few small rollers to keep you honest!

The 10k starts at Draper Park and loops through neighborhoods and merges onto the half marathon route, following the same course as the half marathon winding its way through beautiful Draper City.

The 5k is an out and back course on the canal trails and Porter Rock well Trail. 

The 1 mile run is a point to point sprint race in Draper Park.  

Keep a lookout for Porter on his steed throughout your run!

ALL races this year begin at 7am! 

HALF MARATHON SHUTTLES - Draper City Park - begins at 5:30am and run every 15 minutes or as often as needed. The last shuttle will depart from Draper Park at 6:30. THERE IS NO PARKING AT OR NEAR THE RACE START! - period. You will be cited and towed. Sorry!

POST RACE PARTY, AWARDS & GIVEAWAYS - 8:30 & 9:00 am

AWARDS: Sweet awards & merchandise for top 3 overall male and female in each race.  Top 3 in each division will be awarded as well!

COURSE WILL CLOSE AT 11:00 am
