Step outside and the world becomes your gym! If you are contemplating taking up jogging as an activity, running a 5K (3.1 miles) is an excellent goal for new runners or those looking to improve their health. Don't worry if you've never put on a pair of running shoes, as this program will provide you the fundamental concepts of running and prepare you to run the R5K April 22, 2017. You'll get lots of motivation, as well as enjoyment from participating and crossing the finish line. Classes will focus on pacing, breathing, and building endurance and strength to improve distance and time. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes as this class will keep you moving. Class fee includes R5K registration fee for April 16, 2016.
