Event Description

The Tampa Bay Runners , a non-profit fitness group, is hosting the 40th Annual Driscoll’s Strawberry Classic on Saturday, March 20, 2021. The race includes a 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run & 15k challenge (5k+10k). Temple Terrace Elementary School will serve as the home base for the race start and finish lines. Enjoy a scenic run around the Temple Terrace Golf Course. There is lush vegetation and plenty of shade from all of the beautiful Oaks throughout.

This is the original Strawberry race in the state of Florida and has been noted as one of the premier races in the Tampa Bay area. We had the unique distinction in 2015 of being ranked #4 most scenic 15k and #4 best organized 15k in Florida by Florida Running and Triathlon Magazine .

In past years, we have had over 700+ participants with about 85% of the entrants residing and working locally.

Tampa Bay Runners’ motto: Fitness and well-being comes from serving others. Whether we are helping another take that first running step or creating awareness in the community, it all breeds hope and happiness.

This is what drives our commitment to others. By facilitating the Strawberry Classic for the last 40 years, we not only serve but are able to donate to those in need. This year, Tampa Bay Runners are proud to donate a portion of the proceeds to the local Meals on Wheels and Children’s Dream Fund

Registration

At this time due to CDC COVID guidelines, there will be no day of race registration this year. So register early and beat the price increases. Shirts will be guaranteed to those who pre-register before  March 1, 2021. After that the shirts are available on a first come first serve basis. (No shirt exchanges)

Packet Pickup

We will be having a several race packet pickups the week of the race. Times, dates and locations are still TBD. So please watch your emails and social media closer to race week for more details. This page will also be updated as locations and dates get solidified. We will not be having day of race packet pickup this year to avoid long lines of last minute runners arriving to meet CDC COVID guidelines. So you are encouraged to pickup or have some pickup your packet for you during these pick up dates and times.
