The Partnership is proud to announce that we are hosting our third annual “Stronger Families, Safer Kids” 5K fundraiser. Because April is National Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we felt that having our 5K this year at the end of March would be a good kick-off to April’s awareness month activities. The 5K will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
The Partnership and our members recognize the impact that child abuse and neglect has on families and communities. Child abuse and neglect can have enduring physical, intellectual, and psychological repercussions into adolescence and adulthood. All types of child abuse and neglect have long lasting effects throughout life, damaging a child’s sense of self, ability to have healthy relationships, and ability to function at home, at work, and at school.
Your support will help to raise awareness in Ventura County about how we can all work together to strengthen families and protect our children.
