Event Description

I’ve always thought, after many years of driving up and down Cary Parkway (and running some of it in high school, although it wasn’t as long back then  ) what it would be like to run the entire length of it!! So I’ve created the Parkway challenge to accomplish that and would like to invite any friends that would like to try it with me. The route starts at Cary Academy on Harrison Ave. and you run Cary Parkway to the very end—it’s about a 12.5 mile route with some definite hill challenges. My plan is to double back just a little to make it a half marathon—13.1

We will have several water stops available along the route and an after party at Pinnacle Nutrition/finish line.

The challenge is FREE with the option to purchase a t-shirt to commemorate your accomplishment!! As this is a FREE challenge, I must include the disclaimer that you will be participating at your own risk. The expectations are you will be responsible for preparing your body for this challenge and following all laws while on the route for your safety and well-being. The CRC is not liable for injuries and/or accidents that could occur, we will be on a main road with traffic and all runners and volunteers should be mindful of their surroundings.
