Event Description
Join us for a running tour of Beautiful Lake Kampeska located in Watertown, SD! This scenic half marathon will take you on a trip around Lake Kampeska with trails running through Jackson Park, Memorial Park and ending on the waterfront boardwalk at Stokes-Thomas City Park. This course is a complete loop around Lake Kampeska. This scenic course is mostly flat with some rolling hills through the park areas. If the 13.1 is too much, join us for a 2 person 1/2 Marathon Relay that splits these miles in half.
Make this a family weekend! Come Friday night, run or walk the Buffalo Wild Wings 5k, visit one of our unique restaurants and spend the night in one of our great hotels! Then get up early on Saturday morning for our DASH Around Kampeska Half Marathon! Spend the rest of the day Saturday visiting some of Watertown, SD greatest Attractions! We have so much for a family to see and do! Visit the beautiful Terry Redlin Art museum, Bramble Park Zoo, and our downtown Watertown area!

Schedule of Events:
The Buffalo Wild Wings 5K will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Buffalo Wild Wings; Please arrive before 6:30 pm so you are ready for the 7:00 pm start time. You can run or walk the 5K. The Buffalo Wild Wings 5K will start and finish at Buffalo Wild Wings. There is additional parking behind the restaurant.
The Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay will take place on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 7:00 am at Stokes-Thomas City Park; Please arrive before 6:15 am. The Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay participants will be transported from City Park over to the start line at Jackson Park and they will both finish along the waterfront boardwalk at City Park. Bus Transportation to the starting line will begin at 6:00 am and transport every 10 minutes with the last ride leaving at 6:40 am. Race begins at 7:00 am. There will be a 3 1/2 hour cut off time for the Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay. Parking will be available inside the City Park Campground entrance and inside the Boat Landing entrance.
Register before March 1, 2021, April 1, 2021 and May 1, 2021 to avoid the price increases.
Registration will close for all events on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 5:00 pm.
There will be no registrations accepted after May 26th or on the day of the 5K or the Half Marathon.
To receive a personalized bib you must register by 05/01/21.
For safety precautions, no pets or strollers are allowed.
