Event Description

Join us this year for our very first Black History Month Run, Saturday, February 12, 2021.  The race will start and finish at the Buffalo Soldier Park, Junction City, KS 66441.  The course will be a flat and fast course. Participants running the 5k will receive a race shirt, finishers medal, post event snacks and refreshments and more!  

5K Participants registration - $25

The First Male and Female 5K Finisher will win a medal.

Age Group medals will be presented to the 1st place male or female of each age group. The overall winner for the 5K/10K male and female will be able to win a trophy and or a cash prize equal to their registration fee (Go to https://dilbertsports.com for age group categories). Awards breakdown: First Place Overall Female/Male and 1 deep in each age group - Men's & Women's 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Paid registrants before 2/1/2022 and you will be guaranteed a race shirt, custom bib, official time, sweetheart box, and finishers medal.  Free registrants will receive a custom bib, sweetheart box, and official time.

The Respect Runners Association college fund is our official beneficiary for the 2022 Sweetheart 5K/10K! This run is partially supporting their scholarship fund.
