Join us on March 13, 2021 for our 8th Annual Anchors Aweigh 5K!  It's National Earmuff Day and you know what that means...EARMUFF MADNESS! Keep your ears warm while you show off your favorite earmuffs!

Race information:

Saturday, March 13, 2021, 10:00 am start time
Chesapeake Isle Pavilion (point your GPS to 1 Beachfront Drive, Chesapeake Isle)
$25.00 per person, (includes race t-shirt and post race snacks) until Feb. 28. $30.00 if you register March 1 or later.

Virtual racers are $30.00 regardless of registration date.  Virtual race fees include packet shipping/delivery. 

Details - race will take place in the Chesapeake Isle community, on our certified course and paved roads. 

Beautiful, scenic view of the Elk River and Chesapeake Bay.  Course is entirely within the Chesapeake Isle Community. 

This race will be professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing

This race is anticipated to be a group "live", in-person race with a virtual component.  If Covid-19 restrictions make it impossible to have this race as a group, in-person race, it will be an entirely virtual race with RaceJoy tracking and results submission.

Covid-19 Accommodations: (Blue Cheetah Sports Timing and Chesapeake Isle Civic Association reserve the right to make necessary changes in order to comply with current Covid-19 restrictions.  All participants will be notified of such changes via email).

• The following Covid-19 accommodations will be in place:
  • Extended start line - the start line will remain open for at least 15 minutes to allow all racers to start in a socially distant manner.  Overall & age group winners may not be immediately determined.
  • All in-person racers will be chip timed - individual start and finish time
  • Awards will be announced after the race has completed for all racers. Awards may not be announced on-site but winners will be notified after the race has completed
  • All racers should be masked at the start line and after they have completed the race distance.  Runners/walkers may remove their masks while on the race course.
  • All racers and spectators should comply with current restrictions, wearing masks and maintaining 6-foot distance from other racers and spectators.  Family groups/"bubbles" may participate together at their own discretion.
  • After each person completes the race, we ask that you leave the race area within 15-miniutes to decrease crowding.  Awards will be announced on our Facebook page and Overall & Age Group winners will be notified via email. 
• To maintain compliance and safety, Blue Cheetah Sports Timing and Chesapeake Isle Civic Association will verbally remind anyone who is not complying with current regulations.  Two reminders will be given.  A 3rd violation will result in the person being asked to leave the race area and disqualified from the race with no refund.
