Event Description

If you are up for a challenging half marathon course, this race is for you!

HEL's Half Pound begins and ends at Wolf Creek Resort located in Eden, UT. The course is a whopping knee-jarring total of over 3500 feet! 3500 feet up! 3500 feet down! It is both visually and physically breathtaking! The views are stunning! The trauma to muscles and joints is numbing! This is an out and back course – 6.55 miles up and 6.55 miles down. The average grade on Powder Mountain Road is more than 12% with sections up to 16%! You will finish with a severe case of rubber legs. But, when it's all done, sit down and kick those legs out and enjoy a half pound breakfast burrito as awesome as the race! Awards, raffles and prizes conclude this one of a kind race!

Event details and schedule

The race begins at 7AM. There is ample parking at Wolf Creek Resort. All runners must check in prior to race start. Arrive early!  Overnight camping is available for out of towners. See website for camping details - http://helshalfpound.com/. Temperatures are generally in the 50's to 70's. Weather updates will be posted on the race website.

Remember! This is a very steep course and runners will be susceptible to knee trauma, cramps, blisters and serious toe-jam! Be advised!
