Christian Community Action (CCA) would like to welcome you to the fourth annual Hopeful Hearts 5K Stampede, in partnership with the City of Lewisville’s Western Days. Chaired by Alicia Barker and Tricia Duffy, the event will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Old Town Lewisville. 100% of proceeds raised benefit CCA.

For 48 years, Christian Community Action (CCA) has stood in the gap for hurting families, children and senior citizens in North Texas. Prior to COVID-19, our staff managed a caseload of ~ 60 families per week. Due to the pandemic and resulting job losses, we have seen our caseloads spike to ~ 280 families per week, a 367% increase in people seeking immediate assistance. Since March and through December 2020, CCA has provided $1,549,855 in rent and utility assistance to prevent homelessness for 6,081 individuals and families. And the Food Pantry has received 21,279 visits from 26,272 individuals and families, providing 2,268,556 healthy meals including 736,413 pounds of fresh produce.
