Host: Ava's T21 Foundation
Proceeds will benefit the Come Play with Me initiative, a partnership between the foundation and the Town of Mount Airy to build Mount Airy's FIRST universally designed ADA compliant playground at Watkins Park to foster inclusion of all individuals regardless of ability.
Ava's Relay Race is a 12 hour overnight ragnar style race. This race is not time or speed based. Team members will run, jog, or walk around Watkins Park throughout the night, in shifts determined by the Team. Each team member will receive a bracelet for each lap completed, at the end of the race we will tally the total to determine the winning Team.

Course: Watkins Park paved loop
Arrival and Camp Set-up Begins At: 3:00 p.m.
Arrival and Camp Set-up Ends At: 6:00 p.m.
Sunrise Breakfast on Sunday Begins At: 7:00 a.m.
Beer Garden Hours: Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Participant Parking: Parr’s Ridge Elementary and Mount Airy Middle School.
Volunteer and Vendor Parking: Watkins Park
Spectators are encouraged but must park at Mount Airy Middle School!
Teams are encouraged to “set up camp”, you will be assigned a zone, within that zone you will be have a 20x20 space, first come first serve
Teams bring an RV must contact the event directors to reserve a site, site space is limited, hook-ups are not available, email email@example.com
Registration Includes: Sunrise Breakfast, Surprise Swag, Water and Snacks, Live Entertainment Saturday evening, games and prizes throughout the night, 1 FREE Not Another 5K Kolsch Beer for those 21 years of age and older, ID Required!!!!
The Team with the most laps will have a bench donated in the park displaying their Team Name
Bracelets will be placed on participants as they cross the transition line to monitor and track the number of laps completed by each Team.
Participants age 17 and under will require a parent or guardian representative present at all times, does not need to be a team member but must sign a waiver taking responsibility of the Team. A waiver form and instructions will be emailed to the Team prior to the race.
Individual Registrations will be paired together to form a teams of 5. Event organizers will email you your team assignments 1 week prior to the race
Fundraising is encouraged, but not required. Each Team is challenged to set a fundraising goal of $500.00. How you get there is up to your Team. Facebook fundraising can be set up through Ava’s T21 Foundation or Team donations can be made at www.avast21foundation.org
