Event Description
As a way to rally around a cause in our community, the United Way of Weld County (UWWC) is proud to host the fifth annual Live United 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 1, 2021. This year’s proceeds will benefit UWWC’s Housing Navigation Center (HNC), a resource facility for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Weld County. The HNC is part of a Weld County-wide Housing First strategy. Through the Housing First method, households regain housing and stability quickly, obtain and sustain employment, are better equipped to respond to mental and physical health treatment, can effectively manage chronic conditions, and more. In addition, individuals stop over-utilizing emergency management services, eliminate law enforcement contacts, and spend less time in jail, saving taxpayer dollars. Helping homeless households regain stability (and preventing those on the cusp of homelessness avoid it) builds safe, prosperous, and vibrant communities.

The Race Course
The In Person run/walk course is open to all Virtual run/walk participants during virtual race week April 24 - May 1, 2021. The Steps for Stability 5K course starts and finishes at the Twin Rivers Park. The course will be marked with Steps for Stability yard signs to help virtual runners stay on track!

Race Cancellation and Refunds!
COVID 19 Contingency Plan
Should COVID 19 restrictions force unexpected changes out of our control and we are forced to cancel our In Person Race on May 1, 2021, all In Person Race participants will be moved into the Virtual Race on April 24 - May 1, 2021. All In Person Race participants that paid early bird pricing of $30 or full price of $35 will receive either a $5 refund or a $10 refund to match the virtual race price of $25. Please note that full refunds for the In Person or Virtual Races are not offered. We appreciate your support and look forward to racing with you!
