Event Description

Run/Walk: Run, ruck, or walk 5k at the location of your choosing anytime between April 8th and April 11th and record your time on RunSignUp. To be considered for the ruck division, a backpack or ruck with a minimum weight of 35lbs must be carried for the full duration of the 5k.

VFW New Mexico Foundation is committed to providing support to veterans, active-duty military personnel, their families, and
their communities through programs, projects, and education. All proceeds will be donated to the VFW New Mexico Foundation an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit.

With your help, we can continue to support programs that:

Award grants to VFW Posts, Auxiliaries, and the Department as well as qualifying nonprofits providing the vital support America's heroes and their families deserve.
Provide scholarships to student patriotic essay contest winners in grades 6-8 and 9-12
Support troops and their families in need of financial assistance for housing, medical or basic life needs with a grant.
Sponsor “welcome home” and “sendoff” events to boost the morale of returning or deployed military units.
Offer military veterans, regardless of when or where they served, VFW counsel and assistance to successfully navigate VA entitlement and disability claims.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars New Mexico Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is committed to supporting programs that improve the lives of veterans, active-duty military personnel, their families, and their communities.

All participants will receive a patch and a ribbon. Commemorative T-Shirts may be purchased at the store.
