Event Description

There are people in our community who are living with the issue of hunger and we are angry about it! That is why we are “Running Cause We’re Hangry.” Due to the pandemic, there is a greater need than we have seen before and after having to cancel the race last year, we could not let that happen again. Join us for our first 100% virtual event taking place May 21-23. 

At first we were bummed about not being able to see everyone at the race. Then we realized with a virtual race we can extend our reach in helping those with the issue of hunger and we are asking for your help. We want folks all over the country to get involved and invite their crew to join them for our event and we wanted to give you an incentive to do just that. So we came up with this idea to donate to organizations making a difference for those living with the issue of hunger in the areas of our participants.

"But which organizations would you donate to and how much would you send?" I'm so glad you asked.

YOU get to decide that! We are setting up a referral system where we will donate a percentage of yours and everyone that signs up from your referral link to a food pantry or food-based organization of your choice. We are making it simple, if you get 5 people to sign up we will donate 10% of the registration cost where you want it. Think you can get 15 people to join you for the race weekend? Then we will make it 20% of the registrations. The more people you get to join you for the race, the larger impact you will make for those living with the issue of hunger in YOUR community, no matter where that is! (more details below)

After we send out the donations to organizations across the country, the remaining proceeds will be used to support our local partners here in Central Ohio. Do you want to raise even more funds for your local organization? You can set up a personal fundraiser (set up in top navigation) and we will donate all of those funds to the organization of your choice! We told you we were going to make a difference for those living with the issue of hunger across the country and we meant it!

Back to the race details. By the week of the race, you will receive your "hangry" participant package which will include everything you need to make your run official. You will receive a special participant t-shirt, hangry bib and a unique finishers award we think you will love!

Once we get to race weekend, you can run your distance on your own course. After you run, share a "finishers photo" with us by tagging us on social media and make sure you upload your finishing time. We will have a raffle of those that input their time and share a photo to win some hangry gear!
