Event Description

Please join us in Nay Aug Park's inaugural race to raise money towards the installation of a Special Needs Playground. Help us create a fun place in the park where children and adults with special needs can join other families and friends . Help them to be able to enjoy a relaxing playtime in a healthy, social skill building and learning environment. This will be an interactive/learning atmosphere that will utilize the natural landscape of the park, the butterfly garden, pathways and trees.

The play equipment will allow everyone to enjoy time together, side by side. It will consist of climbing, glides, swings and slides. We want all individuals to enjoy Nay Aug Park. It is a beautiful park that offers a safe and clean venue.

Please join us as a walker/runner or donor. Your fees and donations will all go to cover the cost of this much needed project.

What: 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk

When: Saturday, May 22, 2021 

Where: Nay Aug Park, Scranton, PA

Race Start Time: 9:00 AM

Day Of Registration: 7:30 - 8:45 AM at the Schimelfenig Pavilion

Day of Registration Fees: 5K - $30, 1 Mile Walk - $30

Packet Pick Up for Pre-Registered Participants: Thursday, May 20 and Friday, May 21 from 5 to 8 PM at the Community Room at Nay Aug Park.

T-Shirts: T-shirts will be available for the first 125 registered participants.

Awards: Prizes will be awarded for the overall male/female and first place male and female in each age category.
