Event Description

Help us remember the fallen, at the Never Forget 5k. We will honor the 2,977 victims that lost their lives on that fateful day 20 years ago, including the 412 Emergency First Responders who paid the ultimate sacrifice responding to the World Trade Center.

This will be a day of fun, food, and music, as we celebrate those we lost. Along with the 5k run, we will have a fun run/walk around the Franklin High School track, for those that do not wish to run the 5k. There will also be food trucks, a bounce house, and a DJ on site for post-race activities. This event will help us raise money to support several non-profit organizations in Macon County. “

The Never Forget 5K is an out & back course with slight rolling hills. The 5K course is the route of world famous  "Ruby Run 5K" 
All racers will be required to follow the flow of the traffic and local law enforcement/local fire departments will provide safety along the route (but please be advised that the 5K course will be open for local traffic). There will be 1 water station along the course and bottled water and fresh fruit will be provided to all finishers. We will have prayer and a moment of silence at 10:28am to mark the time that the 2nd tower collapsed.
