Event Description

The Fairgrounds 8 Hour Ultra is a challenging and FUN event that will take place at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Glendale, Kentucky. This is your chance to enjoy some Kentucky summer heat on a 3.1 mile well-maintained High School Cross Country Course. You can participate as an individual or as a part of a 2-person relay team.

The objective of the race is to run as many loops as you can or want to in 8 hours.  You are considered a finisher if you complete just one loop. 

 We will have a well-stocked hydration and nutrition aid station available for runners. We will also have an air-conditioned recovery area for runners that need it. Music & a high-energy atmosphere will be waiting for you at the completion of each lap! Friends and family will also enjoy the numerous spectator viewing spots located around the course.

AWARDS

There are awards for the top finishers based on mileage completed, along with a custom finisher's prize for all runners. There will be special incentives for reaching set distance marks as well. Plus we’ll draw bib numbers for runners to win awesome swag!

PIT AREA

Runners are able to set up chairs, blankets (no larger than 10x10) under the covered pavilion located by the start/finish line. Tents are also welcome for those wanting a little extra space from the main party zone.
