Event Description

This race is exclusively for first time triathletes. The course will be heavily supported by seasoned triathletes to answer questions and help you have a successful and fun filled triathlon experience. The self seeded time trial start ensures you will go into the water without getting pummeled by faster swimmers in a wave. Free training opportunities will be emailed to registrants as they become available. Limited to 200 athletes.

Detailed information with what to bring on race day and final course updates will be emailed the Monday of race week. Registration fee does not include the $6 Anoka County park pass which can be paid upon arrival.

7:00am | Race day registration and packet pick-up opens

7:00am | Body marking begins

7:00am | Transition area opens

7:30am | Race announcements 

7:45am | Transition area closes

7:50am | Final race updates (starting line on the beach)

8:00am | Start of race

10:00am | Door prizes and barbecue (pandemic permitting)

Your race packet will include all the materials you need for your race: race bib, timing chip, and some fun items like your event shirt (if you selected the shirt option) and special offers. Those registered will receive an email on the Monday prior to the race with all the details, any course updates as well as a reminder of what to bring. MMR hosts a barbecue for athletes at the finish.
