Event Description

Join us for the 3rd Annual Red Hawk 6k along beautiful Lake Washington. The race starts at the New Castle Beach Park Lake Washington Loop Eastside Rail Corridor Trail head and heads south for 1.86 miles and turns around at the Seahawks VMAC stadium water station. The course is flat and fast with a mix of hard packed limestone and asphalt trail crossings. 

Event details and schedule

The Red Hawk 6k starts at 10 am with waves of 10 every minute on Saturday June 19, 2021 at the King County East Corridor Trail head a few feet up the hill from New Castle Beach Park. You will receive an out time and an in time. Face coverings and six feet social distancing are required for this event.  Goodie bags with your name on it will be at an isolated table for you to pick up. Custom designed Long Sleeve Technical Shirts, Sammamish Running bumper sticker, and custom designed water bottle is included in your race pack.

There is plenty of parking at the New Castle Beach Park. There will be cash awards for the top finishers M-F 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Ribbons to all age group winners 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Random door prizes will be awarded as well as finisher metals. Race proceeds go to American Cancer Society. See you there!
