Want to move your body and help build a community library in Sijowa Kenya? Then come be a part of The Collective for Orphan Care and Education (COCE), Kenya's Growing Literacy Virtual 5k. This week-long 5k will help COCE Kenya get one step closer to our goal of furthering our efforts in educating children through access to books, study space, and programs such as tutoring. 

By signing up for this 5k you will receive a swag bag that contains: a custom 5k medal, two COCE Kenya stickers, and a printable racing bib.

We are excited to have you be a part of our mission to increase children's literacy rates in Kenya. 

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the registration fee cover? The registration fee covers the cost of swag bags, shipping, and the remainder of the fee goes towards the construction of the library in Sijowa, Kenya.

What if I would like to donate more than my registration fee? The best ways to donate to COCE would be by using the donate page of the race site and directly at https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/communitylibrary/

Do I have to Run?  NO! This is a challenge for all levels, fitness, and abilities.  Run, Walk, Jog, Roll - whatever you choose! 

Can I do the 5K over multiple days?  YES!  If you want to break it up over multiple workouts throughout the day, or multiple days do what is best for you!

Where do I enter my results?   This is your challenge. You can post your results under the results tab on the run sign-up page.  However, you do not need to post your results if you do not want to. We would love to have you post your results on Facebook and tag @COCEKenya so we can share in the experience!

Can I create a fundraiser? Yes! Just go to the donate tab and create an individual or team fundraiser.
