NEW LOCATION FOR 2021!!!
This year only, the Marigold 10K will be the Marigold 8K. The Marigold Festival is not happening, so the Marigold 8K will be run in Bishop, GA using the Santa Stroll 8K course. This is a USATF certified course (GA12139WC), but finish times cannot be used as a Peachtree qualifier.
The race is supported by The Athens Track Club Trust Fund.
Event details and schedule
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30AM at Bishop Baptist Church, 1110 Old Bishop Road, Bishop, GA 30621
8K: Starts at 8:00AM. There will be wave starts
8K Run at Home: Run your 8K (4.97 miles) anywhere and submit your time by Noon on 5/22 to: http://tiny.cc/21Marigold8KVirtualTimes
Run at Home runners are not eligible for race day awards. Shirts may be picked up at Fleet Feet Athens beginning on 5/24. Shirts will not be mailed.
Awards: The 8K overall male and female winner, master’s male and female winner, grandmaster's male and female winner, and first three finishers, male and female, in age groups of 5 year increments will receive awards.
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classiconestop.com, www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.athlinks.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 05/01/21. Those registering after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2021 Black Bag Race Series.
More Info: COVID restrictions require wearing a mask before and after the race. Race will begin with wave starts. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
